What Are You Allowing In Your Head? - Productivity Nugget #166
"Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected." - Steve Jobs
I had an interesting conversation with a prospective new client earlier this week. She said something that made me think about the importance of #environment, what we #allow around us and what we allow in our #head. Watch the video to see what she said that inspired this video and the exercise I walk you through.
I've shared the quickest way to increase production is to control your environment.
Discipline is really overrated. By controlling your environment you are able to take away all the things that you need to find discipline to do.
Example. Remove #junk food from your house, you don't have to worry about the discipline to not eat junk food.
"Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them." - W. Clement Stone
Another way to control your environment and #mindset is to be aware of what you listen to, who you are around and what you watch.
In the video I walk you through an exercise that will help you become aware of the importance of what you allow in your head.
Attitude still matters. Lets not kid ourselves.
Sure you know how to twitter, facebook and blog. You have the skills, but do you have the right attitude. I am a firm believer that you build a business from the inside, out. Meaning, personal development comes before business development. Your business growth will only be limited by your level of thinking.
While we are on the topic, make sure you check out my old blog post Limiting Beliefs, Doubts and Fears But Don’t Stop Dreaming. It aligns exactly with this topic.
