009 - Pivot or Shift? Maybe Not?

This could just be semantics. I think it's a mindset. 

I hear a lot of advice about pivoting and shifting right now, and maybe that's the right thing to do for you.

 Maybe that's what you need to do. What we're doing is we're leveling up.

And doubling down. 

We're leveling up and doubling down.

About four years or so ago is when we made our “pivot” or a “shift.”

And I think when you don't have to do it under pressure, when you get to do it because you want to, because you’re ready, because you chose to do it. That's the best time to do it. 

So you have to do what you have to do. 

But I offer up the idea, to come at this from a different perspective, mindset and commitment and to realize that you're not just pivoting or shifting for this moment. You're doing it for the long term. You're doing it because it's the right thing to do for you, for your business and your clients.

Here’s the thing… this just doesn’t feel like 2008 to me. 

I don’t like the idea of selling this idea that I survived 2008, or here’s what I did, or what we did and here’s how to survive…

PIVOT, SHIFT, DISRUPTION are all these marketing buzzwords… that feel like red flags to me right now.
