When trying to figure out where to spend your time, where to spend your money, it's easy to just say less... From my understanding, that's minimalism. Being a minimalist is saying,

I'll spend less money.

I'll have less things.

I'll get by on less.

And being a minimalist might work for some.

What we realized in our life, it was more important to us to identify the things we enjoyed, really desired, or improved our life or workflow in some way. And we call this being aligned or Alignmentism.

For example, I have a lot of camera gear and video gear.

Much too much too be considered for minimalism, but these things help us with our business and our productivity. However I use a door as my desk. Having a fancy couple hundred, or thousand dollar desk would not help me do more and get ahead.

We identify what is important and impactful and we're more than OKay investing into those things. We know our principles, we know our values, which makes it easy to to know what we value and we get those things aligned. That's our perspective of Alignmentism vs Minimalism.
