The 80/20 rule or The 80/20 principle or The Pareto Principle. It's a good rule to live by and use for your business.
But there are different ways we can look at the 80/20 rule to maximize results, productivity and sales.
Always remember, The 80/20 Rule Rules Everything
Stop forgetting about the 80/20 Rule. Stop ignoring the 80/20 Rule. It shows up in everything. You can’t change it. You can only make the choice which side of the 80/20 Rule you’ll fall on. You can decide what you’ll do. Treat everything equally, treat time equally or accept the reality that not all time is equal and not all activities are equal.
There are two other principles of the 80/20 Rule that don’t get talked about very much, but this is where I like to spend my time at and where I want my clients to be at.
The 4% Rule.
There is always an 80/20 Rule. You can’t ignore it. You can’t avoid it. That means when you are looking at the Top 20% of something, inside hides another 80/20. That means out of the original 100%, there really is a 4% of things that will have the most impact.
When you focus on the 4% you will accelerate your results like nothing else.
The Bottom 20%
This doesn’t get talked about very often either. Lots of jibber jabber about the Top 20% of things that bring 80% of the results, but there is also a Bottom 20% that is 80% waste of your time. Instead of just focusing on the Top 20% it also helps to eliminate the Bottom 20%.
